Seattle's Best Coffee® Story
Seattle's Best Coffee has been proudly brewing gourmet coffee since 1970. Our trademark is coffee with a bold flavor and smooth taste. From the beginning, we've been using the finest beans and a slow roast process to bring coffees to market that are celebrate for their distinct smoothness. The founders of Seattle's Best Coffee were some of the early coffee pioneers of gourmet coffee in Seattle, and in the beginning the coffee was roasted in an old peanut roaster down on the Seattle waterfront. Our guys used the finest beans and roasted the coffee to achieve a full flavored cup that was bold, but not bitter. In those days, the Northwest was such a hotbed of competing coffee styles that a local restaurant held a taste-off to crown "the best cup of coffee in Seattle." Much to our delight, our little coffee company took first place. To celebrate the occasion, we officially re-named the company "Seattle's Best Coffee" and the rest is coffee history. Today, the coffee revolution has spread across America and now good coffee is appreciated everywhere. And we had a part in getting it started. There are many great coffees roasted in Seattle, but only one offers the bold flavor and smooth taste that is Seattle's Best Coffee ®.

In April of 2001, RTG Business Enterprises, a locally owned family business, brought the heart of Seattle to Austin, Texas. When we opened our first café on Parmer Lane at RR620 in the Jefferson Center, our dream of sharing the BEST coffee with our friends and neighbors quickly became a reality. Our passion for quality coffee continued to grow right along with our Seattle's Best Coffee family. Since that time, we've opened several new cafés and made many new friends along the way. As we continue to grow, we strive to give the BEST experience possible to you.
We sincerely thank you for your continued patronage of Seattle's Best Coffee. After all, we are only as good as our guests, and like our name says...we are the BEST!
